Any horse and rider have preferences; sensitive, fussy, particular ones probably more than others. Here are some of the things Murray and I couldn't get along without.
Murray and I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without our fantastic trainer, Alana Henley, and barn family at Sunfire Equestrian Training. Alana is kind and supportive, a great teacher, and most importantly: she really gets us. I cannot recommend her more highly as a trainer, from beginners up. Our barn manager Lisa practically tamed Murray, and I turn to her constantly whenever the monster emerges. I couldn't ask for better people to ride with; no matter the level, the girls, men, and women I have come to know at Sunfire know how to celebrate the good times and put a drink in your hand during the bad ones, and are always cheering you on.
I bought an Ecogold half pad when I was looking for something cushy and shock absorbing to help a certain sensitive monster utilize his back a bit more. I purchased the stabilizer, and could not be happier with the product. Its memory foam filler feels very shock absorbent, it's got grippy material all over, and contours to the horse's back really well. It provides a closer-contact feel than even my well-worn-in sheepskin half pad. Best of all: just stick it in the washing machine with a little oxyclean on the reg to keep it clean! Great products and wonderful customer service.
